The Cisco Aironet<\/a> AIR-LAP1142-IK9-10 Series Access Point\u00a0may be a\u00a0business-ready, indoor access point designed\u00a0for easy\u00a0deployment and energy efficiency. The 1140 Series\u00a0may be a\u00a0dual-band, 802.11n access point with integrated antennas. It\u00a0are often\u00a0ordered\u00a0during a\u00a0controller-based* (lightweight) or Standalone (autonomous) version.\u00a0it’s going to\u00a0even be\u00a0ordered with a single-band 802.11g\/n (2.4-GHz) radio\u00a0to be used\u00a0in regulatory domains that\u00a0don’t\u00a0allow 802.11a (5-GHz) operation.<\/p>\n

The Cisco Unified Wireless<\/a> Network supports two architectural options – standalone and controller-based. The standalone solution\u00a0doesn’t\u00a0require controllers and\u00a0is right\u00a0for little\u00a0scale or distributed deployments.<\/p>\n
